Medical Ward 2 is located on the second floor of the brown block.
What is Medical Ward 2?
Medical Ward 2 is a 25 bedded female ward that deals mainly with gastrointestinal conditions but also with acute medical conditions. Patients are admitted to this ward mainly from the Emergency Department or transfers from other wards however there are occasions where patients are directly admitted to this ward.
Meal times
Patients have the opportunity of ordering their lunch and dinner from an established menu. A staff member will go around the patients in the morning to take meal orders.The meal ordered on that day will be supplied on the following day.
- Breakfast: 7:30am to 8:00am
- Lunch: 11:30am to 12:00pm
- Dinner: 5:30pm to 6:00pm
Visiting times
Monday to Sunday (including public holidays):
- 11:30 to 13:00 (2 visitors at any one time)
- 15:00 to 20:00 (2 visitors at any one time)
Special permits for visiting outside the established visiting hours may be given to relatives on special instances on the discretion of the Nursing Officer.

To speak to the nurses on the ward, one may call on +356 2545 6020 – nursing staff will not give detailed medical information over the phone to protect patients’ right to confidentiality.
