What is Paediatric Day Care?
Paediatric Day Care is an area with 3 clinical rooms for children. It is a day care facility that deals with medical and surgical cases that need to be admitted for a few hours for treatment, attendance for reviews, pre-operations clerking, and blood taken. The ward only admits on a booking system, and the consultant firm will book the child in with the ward directly.
Meal times
When a child is on the unit for longer than 4 hours a meal is ordered and offered to the child. Drinks and a snack are usually provided.

Open visiting is permitted in this unit.

To speak to the nurses on the ward, one may call on +356 2545 4918 or +356 2545 4919 (between 07.00– 15.00). Nursing staff will not give detailed medical information over the phone to protect patients’ right to confidentiality.
